It usually refers to sources of light that are available naturally – daylight or moonlight, lightning - or to artificial light already illuminating the vista - lamps, candle light, reflections and refractions from mirrors.<br /><br />The images above, of Julia and Kae from the band Mr. Badger, were captured in a night club bathroom and in a photo booth, respectively.<br /><br />Nothing was altered...the subjects were photographed <i>as is.</i><br /><br /><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/photdographer/2249890168/" title="bruce overhead web by photdographer, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2314/2249890168_562e0165a7_o.jpg" alt="bruce overhead web" height="242" width="360" /></a><br /><span style="font-style: italic;font-size:85%;" >Bruce Bennett in a photo booth</span><br /><br />The use of available light poses a variety of challenge for photographers.
